Parent Work Obligations

Each family is expected to volunteer 20 hours of service each school year.

Volunteer hours are earned by working on approved Parent-Teacher Guild fundraiser such as: annual candy sale, parish festival, Puttin' On The Ritz, and Bingo.

Each family is expected to work one day each year at Bingo for each child enrolled, as well as participate in monthly class-room duties such as yard duty, hospitality Sunday and scrip purchasing.

Yard Duty Guidelines

Welcome to Yard Duty! Your time and efforts are indeed appreciated, as it is necessary for the safety of our children. Below are some basic guidelines for yard duty volunteers. Please familiarize yourself with these guidelines prior to serving yard duty.

Please sign in with the front office and obtain a visitor’s badge. A clipboard with the rules of designated play areas will be provided for you. With the exception of faculty, anyone not wearing a badge will be directed to the front office to sign in. Visitor’s badges are mandatory. Yard Duty volunteers are to arrive at 11:10 AM. Lunch recess is from 11:15 AM to 12:50 PM. When lunch recess is over, please sing out with the front office and return your visitor’s badge. During yard duty, please refrain from unnecessary socializing with other yard duty volunteers or school personnel. For the safety of our children we need your watchful eyes and awareness.  When you are scheduled for yard duty, we are relying on your presence for full period 11:10 AM – 12:50 PM. If you need to leave early or cannot show up on your scheduled day, advance notice is greatly appreciated so that we have sufficient time to obtain coverage in you absence.

For those not able to fulfill this obligation, there will be a fee of $12.00.
